Daryl Turner Leopard 2A6
Does anybody know how to get in touch with Daryl? I have seen several images of his Leopard Turret conversions and battery relocation and would like to see what all he has to offer.

That would be much appreciated. I really would like to see if he could guide me in moving the battery from the turret to the lower hull and make one of his hinged hull mounts.
Glad your still safe Bob.

An email has been sent. We will see what happens. I would even be willing to pay a little for some drawings with measurements and make it myself if he did not want to make it.

FYI, Daryl dos not follow rcu or any other rc web site. He is work busy (a mechanical engineer and traveling) and the Danville Crew probably has him booked on their rc tank projects thru 2018 or 2019. So, either wait for a response or design your own.
Below, is the Leo 2 I built and painted a couple of years ago and the photos below show the two durable metal assemblies Daryl Turner designed and fabricated for me: "metal hinge" and metal hull battery tray with top deck lift bar.
I commissioned this work, got the metal parts back many months latter and then finished the build.
The purpose of course was to move the 7.2v tank battery out of the turret and into the hull. There are many good reasons to do that, but the best is to make tank play easier.

I am sure Mr Turner is very busy. I did not mean to imply he did not answer my email because he just didn't feel like it, I meerly meant I had not received a reply....could have had a bad address or anything. I love the challenge of building things and since I am looming to add a slip ring to my turret as well, I will more than likely be doing a lot of fabrication and design on this. Huge Thanks for the pictures. Very nice Leo

I stopped by Daryl's house on my way to Danville to pick up a tank for a NC tanker. It was supposed to take 5 minutes.....so I left my truck running. THREE HOURS LATER.....I left plus on tank minus 1/8 tank of gas. He is a first class gentleman and a good friend.
