Yes Sir!
It Looks Bloody Brilliant to my Eyes!
From Top to Bottom.
Well Worn/Used with just a Hint of Corrosion...
And your Chipping, Pin Washes and Metaling (Pencil Lead?) look FanDamnTastic...
The Tow Cable looks Just Right, Well Used but taken care of.
The Rubber on the Road Wheels look just the Right Kind of Dusty...
Just WOW!!!

Thanks for the kind words gus! For the base metal colour I used tamiya gunship grey out of a rattle can to simulate the metal effect, some reason metallic paints never look right for this!
I was was trying to go for the look you describe, I figure they where used in a fairly harsh environments and had some tough use so I could get away with it (also a bit of modellers licence to make it stand out) . Currently she could be considered pretty much done (minus more dust effects on the hull and the number plates) but I've got a few more details in mind to make her look like a really lived in tank!

Where did you get the letters and numbers for the casting number?

Thanks, I will check. Was there a brand name for them?

Think they're evergreen plastics?
So taken with the mg34 work people have been doing I felt ma deuce needed some loving. Scratched a cover for the ammo box, then added a live resin ammo and 50 cal ammo. This isn't so flexible and I did break another belt trying to get it right!
The 50cal started life as the hl offering, but with some brass, resin and chains I've tried to make it a bit more accurate.

I did say the last update would be the final one before she went to be shown off and declared finished. However, Im so please with the result of my latest test I thought I would share the results.
I've made some tarps out of lead foil, great stuff which I think looks pretty convincing. Painted a slightly different sandy grey shade to break things up more than anything.

Wow, that looks the part for sure!!! Nice Tarp!!

The tarp looks great.!!!! I gotta get some of that stuff...... but it's probably illegal in California. I'm always looking for materials that will look like tarps, canvas, flags, etc. If we lived just a little bit closer to each other than we do, I would come over to your house for "How to build stuff" lessons.
