I always recommend that tankers bench test their battle tanks before leaving home. The most frequent error (and I am guilty of it too) is forgetting to turn the volume back up. Most of us turn it down to work on them at home, but we forget to turn them back up for battle day. A stock Tamiya tank should have its volume at a minimum of 75%. A H L or smaller speaker may need 100%. Make sure the MF, or equivalent, it is set for its tank class too. Light, Med & Heavy and that it give/takes IR hits and slows when damaged.

With the Clark board you have so many options though, Reload times, ammo load, varying degrees of speed reductions etc. Just wondering how you make sure everyone is consistent across the board. IF you could group 10 Shermans together and program them same all at once that would help with the logistics set up prior to a battle.

Remember the Clark has was more options of IR battling than the Tamiya.
