RIP Stuart Humphrey, 6[SUP]th[/SUP] June 2014
Having just returned from Munster I have just read the terrible news of the loss of our Kameraden who on 6[SUP]th[/SUP] June 2014 died from what is believed a severe heart attack.
Herr Humpy was a larger than like character and not only one of the founders of the UKTC but also one of the founders and promoters of RC tanks in England he lead the way to what we have today, he promoted the hobby to the utmost.
With a heavy heart we say farewell to our Kameraden, rest in peace Humpy the world is a sadder place without you.
das Riv.

@rivetcounter, is this Humpy the Builder of Thor the StuG IV/ Not Humpy??? Love his rebuilds of the 1/8 JagdPanther and Panther G. His work on the 1/4 scale Panther!! His smiling face while in the Commanders position of the SdKfz JagdPanther??? That is such a loss!!! He inspired me to consider large scale armor. I have a 1/8 Tiger II because of him. Please confirm??? Really hoping it is not??? If so I am really sad about this!!!!

My condolences as well. Never met the fellow though I always hoped to. We traded a few enjoyable messages over the years.
Seemed a fine person and will be a loss to the hobby.

Maus, I’m sorry to confirm that it is Humpy who has passed, for those that never met him this is an interview with him at the War and Peace show in 2011
