Default Stock taigen battery specs?

This is probably a stupid question but I'm new so cut me some slack!

How many cells is the stock taigen battery? I'm having the hardest time finding the answer, my google-foo must be out of practice.

I'm trying to setup a "Super Brain 960" charger and I don't want to fry my battery. I have the amps set at 3 which, according to the instructions (1.5xmAh), should be correct, I just need to set the millivolts correctly. I'm assuming it's 6 cells but you know what they say about assumptions...

Thanks in advance!

It is a 6 cell NIMH battery. 2000mAh is the regular size for most of the batteries except for the smaller sized 1700mAh.

Thanks Erik! This charger is awesome, charged the battery in like 15 minutes!

Charging at 3 amps is high for that battery. Yes it'll charge in 15min but your going to fry your battery at that rate. Might want to charge at 1 or 1.5 amp to prolong your battery life
and reduce the risk of your battery over heating during charging.

Oh ok, thanks Benny. I was just going by what the manual to the charger said. I guess it does say that 1.5 x the mAh of the battery is the maximum, on the other hand, it says the recommended amp setting is 1 x mAh. I guess the idea is: the slower the charge, the less heat it generates, the longer the battery lasts?

You got it. It will also hold a better charge. Blasting it with 3 amps is almost a peak charge so when the volts come up to full it shuts off, not necessarily filling all the milliamp capacity.
