I wonder if these run slower and are better suited to WWII armor? I hope so , as you wouldn't want anything faster then V1 provided.

I see they are all sold out of the Black motor gear sets. I wonder if these red motor ones are just the replacements???

I can't say enough about these. They have turned my Leopard into my favorite tank. Smooth, powerful, quiet. When I did the video in slow mo, the lack of any gear noise meant you could actually hear the track noise as the track circled and the pads hit the ground. I bought another couple of the black motored sets. I am going to throw a set in my metal stug and see what happens. I may even try and add another gear like the mod Perry showed us years ago. This mod used to give you mountains of torque, but no top end, but with the faster motor, it might be good for a WWII tank

Why not? Taigen comes with the standard HL metal (except the new T-34). Seems that these would fit into the same spots.

Hobby Raw at RC Tank Warfare is blacklisted as a bad vendor. What are your guys' experience with them? (Sorry if I hijack the thread a little.)

I just got a email from HobbyRAW. Unless they are not being honest they said you can drop this into a Taigen Tank

I would have thought these gears would fit in aTaigen. They are a drop in replacement in a Heng long, and as long as you are not talking a Metal hulled Taigen then they should fit?

Well unfortunately HL has a crazy bolt pattern. So far that I have found there are at least 3 different bolt patterns I have seen on the bottom of the gearboxes. This is so they can sell a specific gearbox for a specific tank(s) instead of putting all of the bolt patterns on 1 gearbox. This is one of the gearbox issues I hate dealing with. Our next version of gearboxes will be quite the surprise. The metal hulled tanks are not really an issue if they don't fit as they have the gearbox mounting plates anyways. We have spares of those if you guys need too

Same here, that one screw, on each side, on every gearbox is more likely to be attracted to the motors magnets while installing!
