What exactly are the TFA rules?

What exactly are the TFA rules?
And would they apply to the SU-100?
I'm assembling components for my Trumpeter conversion and might as well make a specific apple just for it if it applies.

TFA is not really 'rules', but rather reorienting the battle detector (especially the Tamiya System Unit) such that the less sensitive hit areas are facing cardinal directions relative to the gun rather than the normal 45 degree from cardinal direction of gun.
This procedure is normally uniform for All tanks, so there really is no special advantage from one tank to another.
If you ask about IFA (Invulnerable front armor) then that is a special Battle system for tanks with frontal armor so thick that most guns (at the time) could not penetrate frontally (like the Maus or Jagd Tiger).

TFA in regards to the H.E.A.T. club for use at Danville consists of moving the reflective pyramid in the apple one notch so that a point, or corner, of the reflector is pointing forward instead of a flat. You must cut the small bars on the reflector that are blocking the notches in order to do this. This enables a turreted tank to move with its turret in the forward position instead of at the forty five degree angle to have some defense and look more realistic. It also allows non-turreted tanks a degree of protection at distances greater than 10'. It is a simple modification that can be reversed to stock configuration in about 3 min. tops. All functions of the apple remain viable, with no change in its performance.
