Default Speaker Queston

Guys, If you would indulge me for a moment. I am just about done with my Stug III and Jagdpanzer IV and am looking for speaker options. I want something better than the crappy HL offerings but I want something self contained like the Tamiya. Basically I want something that sounds good and is already installed in a small box which will fit in those hulls. I scratch built a box for my Visaton in my Lowe, and I really dont want to do that again if I dont have too...Thanks!!!

Cruiser133, check this thread for Audio Exciters. Tehy may be worth looking into as they are small, inexpensive and easier to install compaired to maing your own speaker box.

Maus, I will look into those, but I am a bit more of a traditionalist and my Stug is metal hulled. Rivet, I considered those but they are a bit pricey...

If you hook up an exciter to foam board you can get great quality sound out of it. I think I am done with the traditional speaker.

How about a demonstration with photos or videos.

Already did. No video as without a DB meter you can't tell how loud it is. This link was included above in Maus45's post..

yep...there it is. I missed that. Interested in small speakers, too. Wonder how the Visatons perform in the smaller tanks like the PzIII and IV.

You really just need a flat plane with these. Part of the benefit is something that delivers great sound without taking up much room. A 2 inch square foam board and the small transducer delivers the sound and it can be attached to the top half of the tank under the engine grills. This leaves the bottom tub completely open for batteries or whatever.
