Default Asiatam track tension adjusters for H.L. Panzer IV

Well, there's an item for witch the term " upgrade " is used loosely...

To lock the adjuster in place, you have to tighten the nut at the end of the shaft...

Sadly, since the adjuster is made of "pot metal"; this results in the shaft breaking off...

And there goes $20.00...

When the smoke finally cleared, I decided to build my own adjusters; kind of like I did a couple years ago for my H.L. Pershing:http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-t...-pershing.html

The new design is very simple but It works...

I like it. didn't feel like buying any again after playing with my L70 so this is a good excuse to make my own too! :-)

Interesting...where did you get the idler adjuster? They don't look like Asiatam adjusters (http://www.asiatam.com/product_info....-henglong.html). Sorry you got a bad product.

Looks like you came up with a great solution, though.

I got mine from Welsh Dragon.http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/a...r-iv-678-p.asp
A little disappointing but those are the little set backs that stimulate your imagination...

Looks like you didn't get what they advertise. There should be a knob on the adjuster that requires you to drill a series of small holes into the plastic to make the adjustments. See the attached PDF.
