Before upgrading to a "hobby grade" electronic in my H.L. Pershing; I upgraded the gearboxes from 3:1 to 4:1...
The 4:1 gearboxes gave me more control a low speed with the RX-18 and the 27 MHZ controller; allowing me to do this: http://youtu.be/3e0tEpXPh0o?list=UUoWjHTJi7Z1uGnVnrbH3GxQ

Impressive results. I'm not trying to get others do the work for me, but when I check out Mato mart for gears for my panther, they seem to have the 3:1 ratio, but I don't see the 4:1 for the Panther, does anyone know if they carry them? I live in Canada so I would like to buy within the country to keep shipping down. Thanks for any help.

The Panther comes with a M/L 48mm gearbox in a 3:1. That is the Panther A version anyways. I'm pretty sure you can get some H/L gearboxes in there, but don't quote me on that one. The M/L gearboxes are 3:1 only, the 4:1 gearboxes are H/L.
