"BSS Galactica" and "Caprica" TV series inspire...
Hi Guys, after some time of thinking have decided to make an RC Centurion-Tank... It can be used as an analogy for RC Tank and like a recovery vehicle.
The idea came to my mind to play a scenario of Cylon Wars. Tanks against Robots-Tanks or splitting into teams robots+tanks against robots and tanks.
Anyway here we have some people that really like the idea and we started to move to fulfill this game scenario. I am in the process of building Romanian Bizon and it will be painted in the colors of Tauron or Caprica, but for the meanwhile my Cylon-tank is being raised.
It will have one hand uplift, with Tamiya protocol (MAKO-2), turret 360 rotation by MATO, with red-dot eye and IR emitter in the left hand...
Here we go...

Hal,
Reminds me that I've been thinking of trying my hand at a Landram/Snowram from the series. You saw a few decent pics in the Original series, and you see them on the flight deck in Galactica a few times, and on the ground in an asteroid mining camp in one episode.
I have found a paper-kit version of them, and may use that as a template if the stills from video don't work out.
This plan is competing with my V-100 'Commando' and the LCM-3 landing craft... too many ideas, and I keep getting sick, dammit!
(latest update: I had another central line replacement after illness over Christmas hols, and then they tell me I have what they called a " Systolic & pre-Diastolic Murmur " caused by a leaky valve. They are gonna have to watch it (repeated ECG/EKG's)... could 'splain why I get out of breath going up stairs, but that's more likely the fragged lungs)

Gus,
Yea, that was the first time I think it was seen was Ep. 01 'Saga of a Star World', when on Carillon, outside the Casino. One was also driven off the crashed shuttle and used during Ep. 06 & 07 'Gun on Ice Planet Zero'.
But the mining episode for the New Series, I hit IMDb, its S02-E15 - 'Scar'. President Laura Roslin mentions that the miners have to 'extend' another 8 days/ as they broke another drill bit, but they found a rich vein of ore... when they show the mining ship on the planet in the intro scenes, its there beneath the ship. You can also see Landrams on the flight deck cleaning up debris at various times (the landing area, not the air-tight bays)
An easier way to see some is Google: 'Galactica Landram' and select images. Tons of good ones, including links to the paper-model page for the Landram, Snowram, and the open 'Chariot'... (no, not the 'Lost in Space' one) The Chariot was used in Ep. 8 (TOS) 'The Magnificient Warriors' to transport the 'energizer' they were going to trade for grain, and it gets stolen, then Starbuck gets sucked into being Constable against a hoard of rampaging Borays.
Heck, I'm turning 50... and with Crohns for 40 years, that's a LONG time... I'm lucky I'm in as decent shape as I am. But thanks for the wishes.
