Rctank.de has tires and wheels just like the ones that come in the trailer kit. I think I'll order several pairs as I have a few different trailers in mind, like maybe a field kitchen under camo netting, with guys gettin' some chow. The possibilities for trailers are pretty much endless, now I just need more kubels and blitzes to pull them! But I do have three US jeeps so maybe I'll have to do some allied trailers, too.

rctank.de also has a kitchen trailer. I suppose if you have frame you can make your own.

Hey Philip, that's the plan, make my own trailers and frames. The only thing I'll buy is the wheels, and I'll just use aluminum rod and c-clips for axles. Next time I'm going to try Greg's suspension method, except I might use steel shim stock instead of styrene for the leafs. The shim stock we have is pretty springy as long as you don't fold it. About 4 or 5 leaves of .025 stock should do the trick nicely.

How wide and long does that steel shim stock come? I may need to acquire some of it.

I'm guessing 6x12 inches. I'll check for sure and let you know. You can get it from any machine shop supply place, like Production Tool Supply or MSC Direct. It comes in steel, aluminum and brass, as well as plastic. Just tell 'em you want shim stock.

I have another source of spring steel stock. You know those street sweeper vehicles that have the two round rotating bristle brushes? While walking one day, I found out that when they go down the street, the bristles sometimes break off and end up next to the curb. They measure 1/8" wide by 0.030" thick, and the remnants I find average around 10" in length. Once I knew what to look for, I kept my eyes trained to the curb, and found five of them in less than an hour. (Of course, anybody seeing me staring that intently probably assumed I was homeless and looking for cigarette butts). I have no idea where they maintain these vehicles, but if I ever find out, I'm going to go into the yard and see if they have any brushes they've replaced and not disposed of, yet.

I have tried the windshield wiper frames and they are to stiff in my opinion when cut to a shorter length.
