1/16 stowage on the way! Sneak Peak from AZ!
Value Gear Details (from Arizona BTW) is about to release a line of generic 1/16 scale vehicle stowage. DAK inspired its development and will be able to review some of the first items soon. Just thought you'd like to see some of the items before they hit the shelves. I know my Shermans have plenty of empty stowage space!!!
Check out the site http://www.valuegeardetails.com
If you haven't seen them before, Steve makes amazing resin products in several scales that are so easy to drop onto existing models. I gave him a Tamiya Sherman hull to act as a template and if this line takes off, expect much more!!!

Cool! You guys may have inspired them, but I did a lot of begging and pleading with them on FaceBook (publicly and privately) that if they built it, I would buy it.
So time to belly up to the bar and order somethin'! And 'tanks' for announcing it!

Very interesting stuff. I have seen lots of pictures of American tanks with all kinds of junk hanging on them including chairs and a table. Most of the pictures of German tanks just seem to have extra track, road wheels and the ubiquitous bucket. I just found a book called "Panzer Tactics" by Wolfgang Schneider that has a bunch of interesting pictures (fair quality black and white on plain paper) of tanks on the Russian front. They have all manner of stuff on the outside and even have racks of jerry cans for fuel which was forbidden in official regulations. The book shows jerry cans with a white cross that were used for water. The book also shows uniforms from different periods of the war. It is on Amazon if anyone is interested. jot

There are a few items out there but many of us have exhausted our 21st century toys supply of packs and crates, the Verlinden resin is pricey and sometimes hard to find. Tamiya makes a set of fuel cans ammo cans and K ration boxes that comes with the Shermans (after the Full option version of course) and Pershing. I have made a few of my own stowage rolls with diluted white glue, tissue, and other items on the bench. Cruise ebay and custom cottage shops will put out sandbags and other items from time to time. I also make crates from basswood strips.

edoubleaz ...
The packs and crates and stuff are truly impressive. There is a real need for those items.
But the coins don't really look like they are 1/16 scale to me. Shouldn't they be teensy weensy little things?

I acquired a new - used M4E8 105 and I started to add some of this new stowage. I love this stuff! Just wanted to show you how well it fits a Sherman.

It rides well on modern tanks too. I got a bag of the stuff.
