Think I dealt with Grace in getting replacement parts months ago. The interesting thing was they wanted pics of everything I wanted replaced they then did eventually agree to replace these items after seeing the pics and a couple kick in the pants emails from me.

Isn't there a Hatchet type kit of the T-72 out or coming out from Italy?

Is it mean tracks for T-72 Russian tank? Anybody manufacturing such tank in 1/16 scale?
or T-72 means the type of tracks?
Many T55 tanks in smaller countries, or upgraded versions, were fitted with T72 tracks. Pretty sure nobody makes a T72 tank model, although that would be pretty awesome.

Found it. It was the D'Agositini T-72 series I was thinking of. Not very practical though.

I also got a reply to my email to Grace and she says the T-55A ARTR is in stock. The only downside was the shipping - $129!!! Ouch!!!

Please do post updates on the track shipment. If that goes well and Rudy doesn't have any trouble I'll definitely have to get one, if for no other reason just because there's a guy I work with that actually drove a T-55 when he was in the Polish Army.

And yes, I'm fumin' over the fact that this was found by a Buckeye, but maybe it's time to make peace. Bo and Woody have been gone for a very long time.

I bought them from Chris and they are beautiful.
A friend of mine plans to use them on a modernized syrian T-55.

Just to show you how they look like on one of my T-55 (it was just a fitting test).

(Yes, it is a .50 on this T-55 ;-))

Wow, those look really, really good. You can actually see the quality. Once they're painted they should look truly awesome. Do you have any finished photos? That's a great looking tank (even with the .50 ) and I'd love to see more photos.

I have more photos but with its original tracks. The T-72 tracks are not for me but for my friend's project, I'll post pics of his tank when it is done.
Why a .50 ? Because it is supposed to be a tank seized by the FSA... ;-)

Chris told me he would let me know when they come back in stock....always a day late and a dollar short. At least I scored the T55....I also just ordered from RCtank.de the upgrade parts for this tank. I will do a mini build report when everything comes in.

Glad to hear you got your money back. I just received parts from Hooben and Grace was pretty good at communication via email so I'm guessing it's just a crap shoot with them.

Update, Chris came through!!!! I will pick up my metal tracks tomorrow from the post office and post some pics later. Chris38BK is solid and a great guy to work with, I recommend him to anyone needing tank stuff.

Well, I already have a complete T55, so I am thinking an Enigma like this beautiful example from Elefant. Anybody have any information or point me in the right direction on a built report or where to get the armor parts? I see Shapeways has a kit, but damn $305 is more than I want to spend...

Think for the most part the 1/16's I've seen were scratch built. $305 isn't too bad considering time spent on producing yourself.

I hear ya brother, but man I hate to spend almost three times the price of the kit for some armor pieces alone but not having the skills of some of those on this board, I just might...

Yea, know what your saying. Just think of it as a T-55 with Enigma kit for $400, still not a bad price for a new tank project.

Now that financially things are looking better for me I need to catch up and FIND a T-55 and land a T-72 later.
