I contacted a seller of the Atak Kit on eBay and was advised it will only fit the Hooben model.

I personally wouldn't go by that. I'm sure they are just covering their butts in case people order it and don't have any modeling skills to make it work. I'd order the elefant kit and the plain sheet kit to have more material to work with unless you just want to go a completely different route and do the zim yourself. The only tricky part may be the resin piece that replaces the front upper hull with MG port. Not sure how easy that is to remove from the metal elefant.
