A T-90?!?!!!!??!?!?!?!?!!!
OMG....
I've got a Leo2A6 and soon an M1A2. Definitely need ten of those T-90s to recreate the godless commie hordes crossing the inter-german border in a world where the Cold War turned hot scenario.....
Unless I can have others get into this hobby so they can buy those T-90s and we'll have a field day playing around.... hehehehe

Also, I protesteth much to those who called the Challenger an ugly tank.
It is a mother beautiful tank. Especially in plain jane version (i.e., no added armour) in Scots DG NATO colours (black and green only, 11B with the Lion Rampart please ). One of my favourites in fact. Challenger 1 being second fave, Challenger 2 being third fave, and Chieftain Mk11 with Stillbrew and TOGS being my most favourite (hmmmm... there is a theme here hehehe). I wish HL made a 1/16 M60A3 and 1/16 Chieftain Mk 11 with Stillbrew and TOGS, too. ^_^

Hi atcttge
I agree that Challenger 1 & 2 are definitely not ugly, but wouldn't call them beauties either. But I prefer pre Stillbrew Chieftains, the Dolly Parton add-on ruins the symmetry.

As far as I know, the real M1's lower hull does not look like that. This link compares the lower hull of several static kits.

And you'll notice the difference.
To address this issue, some people have developed a meta lower hull for M1 Abrams:

I agree too but I believe they are mostly commenting on the RC model, not the real tank. Points pointed out are things like it sits too high and the gun is wrong so I guess those are the why the "ugly" comments are directed at.
Folks that cannot fix or modify errors. I want a Challenger so bad right now...

Me, too. I want it soooooooooo much.
Along with several T-90s hehehe
I hope they do the base model Challenger 2, with no add-on armour and other stuff that was added during its time in Iraq particularly the later parts. BUT (!) have the add-on armour and all that Op Telic bits as accessories that one may put to dress it up in such fashion.
I really wish someone makes additional stuff for these modern tanks (e.g., track-width mine plow, mine rollers, dozer blades, TUSK stuff, etc etc etc)

Com'on guys, this is not a post about the Chally or the Abrams but a T-90 thread...The most beautiful tank in ze world (with the french accent).
A totally objective opinion.

Oks! Sorry Elefant, got carried away.
Judging from the pix, seems to be an early T-90 with a cast turret, not the newer welded turret variant (T-90S?). Also, is it just me or is the Shtora jammers not of equal height on this specimen?
So looking forward to this tank. ^_^

Now onto the topic at hand, that T90 look delicious, and when it come out I'll definitely be picking one up. Up grades or no. Also perhaps the whole Challenger is ugly thing is perhaps just a poor way of saying that reception to the tank has been lukewarm. I personally love how modern the slope turret looks. But if I had to choose between the Chally and the Abrams, I would have chosen the Abrams because my country fields them, and I think for that reason the Chally has been on the back burner. Limited appeal.

I wish Mato quickly gets a hand of the T-90 and produce metal stuff for it (e.g., metal tracks, steel gearbox, etc). I wonder though, are those T-90 tracks similar to that in the HL ZTZ tanks? I'm not so familiar with the ZTZ tanks.

Any idea when the T-90 will be available in Canada? I have the HL Leopard 2A6, and their M1A2 Abrams, I like both of them. I haven't heard much on the Challenger, any word on when it will be available?

Some new close photos of T-90.
Was holding it and unscrewed to see what is inside. Overall I have very good impression of the model, better molds that for ZTZ-99...

Preliminary if everything is ok and on-time - July 2015... But again, at the end the producer decides.
I have been holding it just 20 minutes ago, and should say that the quality is much much better than ZTZ-99. At least I could feel it. Heng Long has done a really great job and thanks them for this.
With different metal upgrades it will deffinitely be a great model in any model collection of an RC Tanker.

I think that if the chally and the Abrams where to have both been released at or close to the same time i would have gotten the Challenger first. just because British armor is rare and there are only so many real challengers to start with. If i want a unit specific tank there are only so many choices and would have gotten mine just to make sure i had one that was correct and not one every other guy would want.

I think you guys need a few better detailed pictures
We will eventually carry a few of the T90 tanks for you guys with steel gearbox upgrades most likely as well as the Challenger and Leo2 soon. ETA through us is approximately mid 2016 for the T90, earlier for the Challenger and Leo2. We will most likely make metal parts for the T90 as well. Oh and this guy has a TON of accessories. I mean a BUNCH.
