King Tiger Co-Ax MG
Hi Guys,
Just purchased a HL King TIger with metal upgrades and I've stripped it down for painting but was wondering, does the turret have a co-ax machine gun?
their is a small hole next to the gun barrel which looks like it might be for one but I'm not sure really. If the original had one, I'd like to add a flashing Mg while I've got her in bits.
Cheers in advance

Neither of these photos shows a co-axial MG, and Wikipedia says the KT had a secondary armament of two MG34s, which I believe are mounted on the commander's cupola and in the bow. I could be wrong, but as far as I've seen (in my extremely limited experience) the King Tiger did NOT have provisions for a co-axially mounted MG34.
You might try looking for the British video series "Inside the Tanks" and see if they have one on the KT. The videos for the Tiger One are superb and they give you great views of just about every part of an actual tank, so if the KT did have provisions for a co-axially mounted MG34 I'm sure it will be in that video. Try Youtube for "Inside the Tanks".

Thanks guys - I have the Henschel turret version and there is what looks like a co-ax mg hole next to the gun. I have never noticed it before so was hoping if someone with a lot of KT knowledge would know. Time is my enemy so apologies for being a bit lazy and not looking further.
Cheers

Here are some photos of Henschel Tiger II's that show the co-axial mg next to the main gun.

Our new 360 kits coming out will be able to support a 2nd machine gun in the turret if you wish I will come with a 3mm LED (kinda big for that application) but it can be replaced with whatever LED you like of course. It will be connected through the slip ring and you can either piggyback the MG connection on the upper hull board or you can use it for another purpose.
You can see you have plenty of room in the turret to play with and the holes are already drilled
