As much as I hate RC4WD they have some tires that would look pretty great on there. Just do me a favor and buy from like RPP or somewhere instead of RC4WD..lol.

Of course all this is taken with a grain of salt cause I'm not exactly sure how the Elmod Puma board is going to effect voltage drops when taking a hit. So all of this may be revisited once a the battle system is installed and I can
get some hits on it with full combat weight.

You're going to battle with this? It being a very light skinned vehicle it needs to battle other armored cars, not go up against real armor. Are there others that have something similar?

THIS should be interesting.

I think if it was setup as a light tank it would work very well

Yup, it will be setup as a light tank. 3 hits and 3 seconds between firing.

Yea, I looked through them. Way too big. Need more of a 65mm overall diameter.

An Sd.Kfz 234/2 Puma with it’s 50mm Pak38 main gun was more than capable of destroying a Sherman, thicker skinned tanks such as the Churchill were more of a problem this was a recognisance vehicle but if it had to fight then it was very capable this wouldn’t go looking for trouble owing to the lack of armour

I'm going to enable machine gun mode on my Clarke board. Your armored car is going to burn like a marshmallow in open flame.

You're gonna have to catch him first. He'll mesmerize you with maneuverability. While you're momentarily hypnotized for a few seconds, he'll be firing.

PFFTT....kaleidoscopic eyes and diamonds in the sky BABY!

I'll bring my emitter belt buckle and every time I strike the Elvis Pelvis Thrust (EPT) the battlefield will light up like a concert. A symphony of destruction. EPT FTW

That's where knowing how to fight with a light comes into play. Don't let anyone near you! Stay back and throw IR down range every 3 seconds and watch the unlucky operators turtle necking trying to figure out why their tank looks like a christmas tree.

Just watch out for the Micheal Jackson emitter glove...

OK, here's a pretty raw video. Please excuse my camera skills trying to operate the Puma and vid camera at the same time. So far so good, no failures to speak of yet.
Watch around 4:30 in when I get some air under the first 2 axles....kind of...he he.

Brilliant video! She seems to cope off road with ease. Guess I'll be selling another tank to find one

That's a blast!

Did you do anything with the speed issue?

It looks pretty damn good in the video, I don't think I would want it any faster. Suspension is neat, nice tire movement. I've cooled on the idea of getting one, but now my interest is back.

Is this with the ElMod or just a ESC?

This is still with the 27T motor running around 35-37 mph scale. ESC is just a basic tamiya TEU 101BK.

Hey Bret,
I was thinking of asking Tank-modelbau.de if he would either machine out the barrel or make some new ones - would this be an option for you?

Could be, was also looking at the rctank.de PZIII barrel and grabbed one to see if it will work.

Yea, better than I expected. I'm hoping to get the 20T motor installed this weekend and at the same time going to get the gearbox into an oil bath to get those pot metal gears
cut and hopefully quiet it down a bit.

That's one heck of a proving grounds you're running in.

Thanks for the video!
