Also, yes the motor will have an effect - they suggested 55T or more I believe? El-Mod typically isn't very tolerant of unusual motor / gearbox combo's when trying to set the inertia up.
As far as I know I'm up to date on firmware but will double check.

Peter at xion said he was getting 1/2 meter stopping distances I'm guessing with the recommended 55T motor so I can only deduce my results are from the lower turn motor.

I understand your "Need for speed" Brett but I recall that even the real Puma was very top heavy and rolled easy due to its long and narrow profile. I hope it goes better for you than it did the Wehrmacht. Once you put the upper hull, then turret, then apple on it.... it will be top heavy and have a high COG pal.

Shouldn't be too bad Bob. The lower, drivetrain, gearbox, motor all sit low in the chassis and is all metal, also the battery is low in the chassis as well while the upper/turret is all plastic. Still like you said it is a narrow sucker for sure.

And now I have a mental image of Bob prep-ing one of his girls to have the video camera pointed at Brett's face the first time he corners too fast, and has that look of "NOOOOOOOO!!!!" as it rolls over and over, smashing all of the external fittings off...

I miss you guys

Bret, so you are not using the standard Fusion Eco board in this thing? It is the truck system? I am confused because according to my research, the normal "tank" boards are capable of being used to drive a single motor vehicle and use a servo for steering, which would make more sense to me. In any case, let me know how it progresses. I will be happy to try to help if possible. Jim will be in D'ville so he can call me and we can try to work through it together.

Joe, it seems to be a frankenboard. It only has outputs for one motor but still has all the other usual plugs including the battle system. You can see in the pic, black red are power and blue and yellow are motor leads.

Yes, I agree. That is quite strange. Well, let's see what can be done with it. If worse comes to worse we will have to try a regular board, where we have the ability to change any parameters we want. Why they would take that out of the truck board is beyond me.

I got my Mato speakers yesterday, they sound quite okey! For their size you can get a really loud sound.. Worth the money, probely the only speakers that will fit inside the Puma. Got some problems figuring out where all the wires from the el mod board should go into the reciver, they colored coded but cant find what goes where..

I'll check out those Mato speakers. The loco speakers I'm using aren't real loud.

Argh alot of problems just to get the chassi running. Now i have problem with the plastic fasteners for the steering servo. The steering servo requires a lot of torque and the damn plastic holders bends when i test the steering... have to make new in metal at work...

Yup, lots of deflection with those plastic mounts. MO is suppose to come out with some aluminum ones. Also check your linkage from the servo horn and see if it's hitting the
bottom of the motor causing the motor to raise (resistance) and making the servo move as well. Mine still move a bit but don't mind it as I kinda think of it as a servo saver.

Well we had no luck downloading the latest version of the pc configuration software on my buddies pc at Danville to check my parameters on the elmod board.
Going to get back into that after he figures that out and I send him some screen shots of my settings to see if there is anywhere else to adjust for inertia.
Other than that the lower is pretty much done so I'm starting to model the upper and do some research on paint scheme's though there aren't many choices
on that. Once I get some upper work done I'll post some pics.

Still havnt made metalholder for servo but did take a testdrive anyway. Feels a bit strange on throttle and motor braking. Would be nice to set these parameters.
Did a quick video he he https://youtu.be/kUo7ov43eN8

This is the full production version. Some components aren't yet available but will hopefully be ready by the end of the year such as turret rotation and barrel recoil.
