3 Panthers underway
These are my 3 Panthers and 2 Jagdpanthers.. all are far from completed... but it is easier to bring up all the similar models together as the mods are all either the same or very similar...
the two Jagdpanthers are an early (Profiline) and a late Heng Long.. I know I am on the super slow track.. since these photos were taken.. The Late Jagdpanther has a new Chassis as well as
Metal Tracks, Idler and Sprockets, Metal Gears...and a freshly filled and sanded hull.. The Panther with the Zemmirit has also gotten a new Chassis, with reinforced and strengthened metal
suspension, metal; wheels, Tracks and idler and sprockets... all the 3 Panthers have gotten the cross bracing on the rear air intake funnel and some final Hull and Turret
filling and sanding .. As you all probably know the Heng Long tanks have cosistancy in plastics and pouring issues....For you older modellers, I liken it to the old 1/32 Monogram Kits.,. the Shep
Paine school of modding comes in handy if you choose to go the Heng Long route (as I have).. either way the Panther and Jagdpanthers have many uneven plastic faces...that need attention.
I got some great help and direction in the welds from the forumk.. Thnanks for thatt so I am looking forward to getting on that asap...
I have also added many Tamiya KIt parts as replacements for the rather poor Heng Long moldings... and I even added some schumo parts.. many yet to come...
Finally I've added some photos in my gallery (Jhdumas).. if anyone is interested... the two completed Tanks (Stug III G Late and Panzer III L) were my first two... just to see if I could still do it..or still had the desire
apparently I still have the desire... It's been 30 Plus Years... but they are what they are... butr I hop eyou agree that with some care the Heng Loig tanks can be4 brought up to an exceptable level of
finish....
How big can I post photos?.. the images are a bit too small to see anything... any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated...
