Taigen T-34 metal tracks problem
I time ago Ive bought 1/16 the new Taigen T-34 metal version with metal tracks. I was using the tank very rare and indoor only. Tracks quality are good but some edges seems not to be so sharp (maye should be a litle higher?) - see atachement. Very often the tracks in my T-34 are slipping - even on the carpet
Could Sb check how the tracks pattern looks in HL T-34 metal version or in Taigen T-34 from another tank?

Thank You for the pictures. I was using my T-34 on the carpet only so they couldnt worn down.
Yes, I think that the track depth should be a little bigger or maybe my tracks was defective ?

From what I see the depth looks ok actually. The T34 doesn't have a great tread pattern compared to other tanks like the Tiger. The German tanks tend to have a much more aggressive tread pattern. Its like driving street tires on the dirt, they will work, but not as well as other tires.

These 1/16 tracks mimic the real thing used on the T-34 as they were designed primarily for the snow conditions in the East. They are an even improved version from the BT-7 and earlier T-57 and T-34 tanks as those were basically stamped metal rivited together.
They would appear to be not so good on a fibrous material like carpet or even for lateral grip.

I have tested my T34 ( Taigen lower hull) on couple surfaces ,
1. On concrete surface....fine.
2. On grass ....there are some slippery when turning but I 've learned how to minimize it..
3. On dirt ..nearly same result as on the grass.
4. On mud ... not test yet.
5.On snow....no snow in Thailand.
After couple months of playing... no major problems found.

In the end Ive decided to buy Kenny Kong T-34 metal tracks. Much better tread pattern than Taigen T-34 tracks. Now the tank is running perfect even on the carpet. In addition Ive added T-34 metal track tensionig system from rctank.de :

Hello wsn123
The pattern is more depth isn't it? By the way do you have plan to test on grass or dirt....I am just curious....whether it might solve the slippery of my Taigen T34 too.

I am wondering if it the extra weight of the Kenny Kong tracks that is helping. I take lead shot in zip lock bags to add ballast to the tank if I find it having trouble with traction.. I have this T-34 chassis, but have not really run it much. It is pretty heavy though. so I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem
