Hi, George!
The only problem is that I have to remount mostly all Kettenkrad to get the gearbox out.. And I didn't made any blueprints of it. So I can give You just approximate dimensions - 36x20x20 mm. I used 3x6x2,5 bearings for motor axis and middle wall and flanged 3x6x2,5 bearings for the side walls...I used n20 motors with ratio 1:150 and these gears:

Ohhhh you really maked me jealous with your goliath with anhänger. It almost beyond awesome. I soooo would like them to make the goliath into production.... I defently would try to make the goliath r/c converted! If you ever get tired of it I got a kettenkrad waiting to tow it so make me a call

Cool

So is the Kettenkrad, RSO tractor and many other pieces but I doubt they can be RC'd. There's even a 1/16 M5A1 Stuart available in both static OR has the separate parts to RC that.

Mind you, these are not cheap and we're not talking styrene either.

If there's idea to make an Rc Goliath, it should be made scratch for 100%. I have been thinking about it and using 1:35 model metal tracks... But there's sooo little space inside. As an option could be usage of the transmission from these small 1:72 Rc tanks

I have the styrene Dragon kit in 1/35th and like you, have a few 1/72 RC tanks which the tracks and gears would be perfect.

Yesterday I started the work on my third Ketten.
This is what I've done in all evening:

I think the Goliath's tracks are simple enough to fabricate or at least cast in resin.

Too bad the shapeways listing calls the rear wire guide a 'wheelie bar'.

Do you guys think there would be an interest in a working model of a Goliath?

Beautiful work on the 3rd Ketten by the way.

Thanks for the tips about the 3d printed goliath! Not as good as yours but at least a start!

A RC version of the goliath should be possible using a small servo motor or similar. Best for space would be to find extremely small bevelgears and install the motors like the real thing, in the sides. It can be done I think so someone must try! Im working with a Sol models Zundapp 750 1/16 rc conversion and its possible! Steering servo hidden in the engine with only servoarm sticking out and electronics in the sidewaggon. I also made a RC conversion from the black box toys 1/6 goliath but it was a lot more space there... (didn't work so well unfortantly...)

Good luck with your new kettenkrad!

Nice.

I just reworked mine to animate the driver's head and the rider's body. I also moved the steering servo back so I could increase the turning radius.
