O.K., Lets say I don't want an entry level tank. I would actually like something that is really RTR out of the box, something that I don't have to look forward to breaking so I can fix/upgrade it.
Lets say $700.0 or so tops. Something NOT made in China. Go.

They are all made in China...even the Tamiya ones as far as I know.

You should check out the offerings by Taigen, they are essentially upgraded Heng Longs with better mechanics, also come as RTR. They should be within the $700 price range too.

When I was a boy I would stand outside the hobby store and gaze with envy at what was on display,
Holding very tightly onto my dads hand I would look up at him and he would look down with that lop sided smile that said "SORRY" son maybe one day,
,Well one day the Chinese government whilst still being run by a communist junta still managed to emulate the economies of the West and with cheap labour and government investment a young boys dream can now be fulfilled.
Sorry old friend if it isn't Chinese it will be TAMIYA from JAPAN and they are not RTR anything else is going to be much more than $700 if it exists!
shaun.

Patchcon, try Banzai Hobby out of Japan. Sherman is $454.28 plus $96 shipping and it comes with a Futaba 4 channel Skyport FM surface Radio. That price is based on EMS tracked shipping to the U.S. Here is the link. banzaihobby.com. I have used them before and it only took about 6 days to get to me in Tennessee.

I have an all metal NIB Mato Tiger RTR with Clark electronics installed and ready to go with the Mato 6 channel 2.4 Ghz Radio for $550. Put batteries in the radio charge up the 3300 Mah Battery and away you go.
I need space in the work shop for incoming projects, so this Tiger has to go..

All of the tanks from AAF must ship UPS so it's closer to $40.00, at least to CA. Artistic Hobbies is just over $25.00 to CA. Banzai is at $131.88 to my zip code in CA.

Yes the AAF Sherman could be maybe $10-$20 dollars cheaper but the Banzai Sherman comes with the Futaba Radio included. So you would get a $99-$120 radio for almost free or the difference in shipping. You may want to go the AAF route anyway as they are here in the U.S. and are great to work with. Banzai is in Japan and returns could be drawn out because of the distance. Like I said I have used them and the shipping was quick to me with no defects or damage.

Funny, Thats the one I was looking at For $896.00. Is it airsoft? If so. Probably. Shipping? And is that 550.00/Canadian?
Dan, Tried the email at your sight, didn't work. I can change it to airsoft so contact me.
