Any tankers or clubs in Utah

Western Colorado has a small group of RC tankers...

We are not quite a club, but we do meet and have battles up in the national forest from time to time.

Phoenix is a serious days drive from Ogden. Just did that this summer. Like a weekend getaway. At least utah has that 85 speed limit. Still felt like it took forever to get to Tooele from Kanab. Beautiful drive though.

When is your next Western Slopes tank battle? A five hour trip might be worth it. And some time I might fly down to Arizona for a DAK meet. But that is a long way to drive.....

We mostly get together in the summer cause three high passes are between us. The avalanche danger makes travel between our houses this time of year Russian roulette on wheels. Sometimes in the summer we camp and battle tanks up in the tundra on Red Mountain Pass or Molas Pass. I can let you know when we do it. We camp out in campers and / or tents.
We could work on a plan to camp near Moab or The San Rafael Swell with tanks...
FRAG is worth the drive just to see in person. It is amazing.
If you Utah tankers get a club going let us know.

My Feedback: (1)
DAK is a great destination event in the spring. You have Cactus league spring training. Hiking, Biking, Resorts, and many other things to do. I mention this only as I have developed a pattern where I convince the wife to go out of town to "Coincide" with a modeling or tank event. For example I am doing a Disneyland trip in a few weeks and, thanks to a few co-conspirators, I can sneak to the San Diego battle in a few weeks. (It helps we are also visiting relatives in Encinitas).
Moral of the story is if you can convince your PWMBO (person who must be obeyed) that a tank battle is just a happy coincidence, boom, bob's your uncle.

Hi Jon! Field of Armor is located in Murray Utah (that's just north of SLC). How about when you have time, drive down to their office and see where they make their tanks. The manager, Loic, told me anybody who would like to check out their facility is welcome.
I lived in Roy, Utah, (right by Whelan park) for six years ('94-'01) so I know the area pretty good so I know you're only about 25-30 minutes from Murray. I think seeing their place would be great!

Loic deals mainly in 1/6th scale stuff, but he does have some cool stuff.

That's what I'm say'in! It's COOL to go look at r/c tanks, no matter what the scale! I'd like to hear what Jon had to say about the FOA setup there.
Heck, if I was still stationed there (only 30 minute north of Murray) I'd LOVE to see it out of curiosity.
