Question TACTIC TTX404 any good with Tamiya tanks?

Okay... I bought this years ago and then all the excitement started up with my health again so I have long since forgotten it's worth/value.

Will this bind as easily as the Futaba radios or is there something I need to do special in using/setting it up? It's been sitting around in the box with extra receivers and I cannot find out if it's worth using since it is 2.4 GHz or just toss it?

Any helpful hints or suggestions?

I've had a couple of the 404s. They bound well enough. They weren't easy to get the left stick to self center, so they were a no-go for us. If you don't mind the throttle on the right stick, they are a great little radio.

Thanks Jeff!

I figured if they worked okay, I might as well take something totally BRAND NEW to Danville this May. Since 2.4 is the going thing now.

I just rebuilt a dx5 last night and made the left stick self center with parts from a dead one. What a pain to get it all apart.

If anyone wants to get rid of their old Futaba 27 and 75, let me know...

I've gone 2.4 gig for all tank related stuff, but I'm getting heavily into subs and need the old systems for water penetration. I'm holding on to my two Futaba Attacks for dear life.
