Mato M36B1!!

YES IT IS!! But be careful... you might be called a 'hater' for bringing up these RTR's being so expensive.
But you're right, a resin turret on the HL chassis is much better and less expensive. I have 2!

So you're using a Nick's turret I assume, do you have a working barrel recoil or is that possible with a resin turret, room wise in the turret I'm speaking of.

Well, these Mato tanks are expensive because they are all metal, have upgraded gearboxes, and come with a Clark board for the MFU.

Oh yeah, a recoil can be used in a resin turret. No problem.
I have Nicks' kit PLUS... 3 weeks before he announced he was going to sell them I bought off eBay a used, already assembled MAXTRAX (I think that is how it's spelled) M36 turret. The gun, the barrel, the mantlet... all glued in place so I may just not have recoil in this one as I don't want to damage it.
The Tamiya recoil mechanism can be hidden cosmetically. I wish I had Arron Ardnt's (again... spelling) build/finished M36 as he did a fantastic job on the interior of the turret. And it had a Tamiya battle system in there too with figures! AMAZING work he did!

Oh, and you get to pick your style of mato Sherman tracks too. All things considered, it's not a bad price for a 100% metal tank that is RTR AND Tamiya compatible out of the box.
They also come with a hard carry case.

Thanks again Chase, may have been interested but I just wrote a check to the dentist for $1527.00 this morning. It will have to wait a couple of months.

Hey Tanker10, are you coming down to our san diego battle?
i can help you with an E8 if you want...
As for those upgraded mato gear boxes, they are more usefull for something to throw at the wall when you are agnry. Good engineering design, poor assembly amd QC makes them junk. Review my jumbo build.

$1527.00 at the Dentist is much more wisely spent money than getting an all metal tank that isn't needed. Plastic is much better and that's my opinion on the cost and material used.
But, we all have an opinion don't we. We can always help you on modeling skills/assembling things. Heck, there are experienced people here that can help you with ALL PHASES of making things work. Just ask.
The end result is much more rewarding than pulling a tank out of the box.

I just hope everyone knows that the M36B1 is not called a Jackson. It has the turret, but was a stop-gap measure as they ran out of or short of M10 chassis.
The M36 and M36B2 had the nickname the 'Jackson'. Not the M36B1

Wouldn't hold your breathe on the Stuart. It was a scratch build with some tamiya components in the turret as I recall. Not a proto you'd really see from a manufacturer if they were
gonna produce it. Hope I'm wrong though.
