Default Some PICS of my 1/24 Tanks and 1/24 Crawler

Hey guys, just took a few pics today for fun. Sorry my backyard doesn't have the best background! Enjoy..

The Sherman:
Mods- Plastic Pin-linked tracks and added a link to each side since they were too tight out of the box, rechargeable batteries
Future Mods- Rx-18 Board

The Tiger 1:
Mods- Metal pin-linked tracks, metal drive sprockets and idler wheels, rechargeable batteries
Future Mods- RX18 board, going to paint the drive sprockets and idler wheels

The Abrams:
Mods:
Plastic pin-linked tracks with rubber pads glued on each shoe, rechargeable battery
RX-18 board semi-installed. Power and motors hooked up for now.
so much better with 10-speed control!! It's also the fastest of these tanks..

The Micro Crawler (just for fun):
Mods: Lipo battery, LED headlights+taillights, aluminum skid plate, aluminum c-hub, aluminum steering knuckles, custom painted H1 Hummer body, Micky Thompson Baja Claw tires, custom rims, weight added to front and rear, HITEC metal-geared steering servo, brass wheel wideners, and aluminum transmission case
Future Mods: Aluminum rear lockouts, Mini T ball ends with steel rod for tranny links, Also adding 1/24 engine parts to the weights up front to hide them. I have a 1/24 LS1 motor sitting around for this

I'll be getting my first 1/16 tank soon. I'm thinking a Heng Long Bulldog with RX18. Going to reinforce the chassis, add Mato metal tracks and drive sprocket, add weight in certain areas inside the chassis for better crawling and suspension realism, steel gears with 390 motors... will post when it arrives

Nice looking motor pool you have. I've got one of redcat racing's 1/24 sumo crawlers, really fun setting up courses on the workbench when it's to nasty outside for the bigger brothers. Who's making the 1/24 metal sprockets/idlers?

Hey Steve, good lookin' tanks, but I'm especially interested in the crawler. I think they may be adaptable to 1/16 military trucks with scratchbuilt bodies. Can you tell me the outside diameter of those tires, please? Wheelbase and width from the outside of the tires would also be very, very helpful.

So where are you? If you want a 1/16 bulldog and you're in the US you might want to talk to Erik down at Imex. I've had both the Heng Long Bulldog and the Imex/Taigen, which comes with metal tracks and sprockets, and it's just a far better offering (IMO). The zinc gearboxes eventually have to go, but mine have held up for going on 3 years with moderate driving. Some punishment, but nothing truly heart-stopping. Since I can't get enough of showing it off, here's my Imex M-41 with the TK22 installed

ThebennyB- VStank. Type "vstank metal" on ebay and the sellers tracks and wheels come up. Unfortunately he only sells them with the tracks, not separately. Or you can order from Toyeast.com. They have the metal wheels. And yes, the crawler is great. I just installed the rear lockouts a couple hours ago along with the steel links and new tball ends

Crius- I can get those measurements for you probably tomorrow, just picked up the GF so no more toys tonight! lol. And yes, I have also been considering a Imex/Taigen Bulldog. Just a little pricier

Your M41 looks awesome!, nice collection

Thanks for looking guys
