Contact Dan (YHR on RCU) about the Benedini sound board. Here's his website. Yes, your tammy tiger 1 will be a very good platform for your first IR battle tank. Pretty much a bullet proof tank with regards to setup and maintenance.

Is there anyway to keep the stock radio for either the? Or is this something that cannot be avoided?

Cant really avoid the inevitable if you want to upgrade to "hobby grade" sound and controls.The kicker is not having an actual receiver for all the aftermarket sound and control boards. I'm not 100% on this as I'm not up to speed on all the systems out there especially the components from rctanksaustralia.com so others may have some ideas.

Thanks for the info. I'd like to attempt least meet the sound quality of the Tamiya Tiger I kit.
