Default FRAG French Farm Complex

FRAG added to its battlefield last year w a farm complex composed of 2 barns (each can hide a tank), a destroyed bldg (made from concrete and wood timbers), 2 brick silos (from 6" diameter PVC pipe), a side bldg and the main farm house. These are accented w/ dioramas of: garden plantings, animals, flowers, a horse pen and tractors & wagons. The farm yard is surrounded by tall walls (made of concrete) w/ wood gates at 2 places. Here are some pics from last year when the buildings were just rough constructed in 1/2" plywood and now .... as finished and weathered. One of our other club members has finished the barns, so I'm lacking those photos, and the 1 side building is not finished yet. PP

Nice work! How do you keep all that pretty stuff from getting torn up during battles? At Danville we essentially have to encompass any small or deatiled prop with rocks and that
still doesn't stop people in the heat of battle from getting into stuff while getting into a defensive position or getting out of a harry spot.

The buildings are made of 1/2" plywood and very sturdy. The silos are PVC pipe and also strong. So if tanks run into any structure, the tank usually takes the damage. Most of the small stuff is placed out of the way and the streets and roads are wide enough that most are left alone. But sometimes an item gets damaged.... I.e. I built one of the Merit Intl 150mm cannons and set it in a place no one was likely to go near, but by the end of the day it had been clobbered.... Both big wheels were knocked off and no one had the guts to admit they did it.... Brand new... One week old, and major damage. Whoever was guilty, knew I was very unhappy. I suppose that's the risk one takes when you try to enhance people's battlefield experience.
