Default Tiger Pics/ Questions

Good evening to all, so it was 2 yrs ago this month that I came down to Danville with my best friend, and while i was there I purchased a Tiger I kit. I had worked on it for a few month's, was able to get it completed up to the base coat of paint, but it then sat for 8-9 months due to other things. I have spent the last 2 months working on it trying to fix, or adjust things, and finish the painting. I want to finish weathering it, but at this point, I don't think it's going to happen. One question I have, does anyone put the IR diode in the barrel? it would limit what I have heard is the "fan shot". I don't much like having it installed in the mantel. The other question is, I have purchased the gear reduction kit from ETO, well I tried installing them and I was not able to make it work. For whatever reason the reduction gears wouldn't fit with everything else. I know I'm doing something wrong, but at this point I will refer this one to those who have WAY more experience then me. I have also been trying to do the switch mod on my remote, so as not having to use the offset with the Lt. joystick. I have searched, trying to find how to do the mod. If anybody has notice in one of the pics, I'm missing the piping from the fife filter, If any one has any extra one or one that they can part with, I would appreciate it. I am planning on coming down on Saturday staying overnight, what time does everyone arrive? Sorry this was long winded.

Regrettably I cannot answer your question or help with the missing part, better left to those who know. I really, really need to say, it looks awesome. I wanted to go with that paint scheme. Sadly I do not posession the necessary skills or airbrush to do so. Instead I went with the standard Panzer Grey.

Again.. I'm jealous of the way it looks. Lol

For the fire button depends on what kind of transmitter your using. Here are some links. Your essentially tapping into the pot of the channel your elevation/main gun is on. Using a momentary switch you wire into the neutral and far throw tabs on that pot to "fool" the transmitter that your doing both stick and trim movements at once. For the IR emitter, yes you can place it in the barrel but the flash must also be present especially if your planning on battling at Danville. Not a problem really on the tiger since it has the big muzzle break. Just make sure the flash is up behind the IR emitter tube and visible. Also the IR emitter must be in a tube with the bulb set no less than 9mm to front of bulb from front of tube and no more than 6mm ID on the tube. This again is just if your planning on battling at Danville or most club events. These dimension are taken from the stock tamiya tube that is provided in most kits or the battle unit itself.

Thank you. I'm not that good at airbrushing. Trial and error. Thanks for the kind words. Now if I can just figure out how to change the orientation of the pics.

I have the 4 channel Futaba controller. Maybe someone can tell me how to edit the pics, so I can rotate them? Instead of reposting them.
