1/6 Heng Long Tiger I
#3
It was so cool I didn't think it was really a Heng Long till it fired the main gun and it did the track recoil thing...
then it looked like a real Heng Long.

I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt this is anything more than an attention grab.
Wasn't there short documentary of a small company over there building 1/6 hulls?
I don't see the company that brought us the Pantiger putting out a 1/6 aluminum Tiger.
Besides, that's a hell of a box to have to return...

Super spin, track recoil... all things that can be taken out. I really doubt it would ever be sold assembled, that would kill THEM in shipping too.
If it's a "Nice Price" compared to other 1/6 Tigers I'm game! I need a quality, affordable 1/6 Axis tank to shoot holes in my Stuarts.

These days 1/8 is more of an orphan scale than 1/10... HL has done amazing things to bolster the popularity of
1/16 scale but I doubt that cachet will be transferable to 1/8 and 1/6. Apples, Oranges and plums...

A lot of talk on the Internet that it's not HL's at all but they placed their name on the Metal Box line.

From what I know this is just a publicity stunt done a few years ago, the Tiger is from Metal box and they were very upset that Heng Long have tried to say this is theirs, one only has to look at the detail to see it can’t be Heng Long, a company that specialises in injection moulded plastic would have to completely re-tool to make these, if on the other hand it is true and they are expecting to market a 1/6 Tiger at 10,000€ then all I can say is good luck, why the hell would anyone pay more for a Chinese built model than one built in England especially with the poor quality electronics they would use.
Metal box are not exactly very popular I know of possible 4 people with either a StugIII or PzIII all have replaced the electronics and a multitude of other parts.
