My other hobby is restoring old gas pressure appliances and when a fellow collector needs support we light our lanterns and send out positive thoughts. So Herman, here's a Coleman L316 Arc lantern (circa 1918) burning for you and positive thoughts headed your way.

12-3 update. Herman is doing much better today, his eyes have cleared up, they were yellowish colored. He'd feeling better and regaining strength. The hospital wants to move him out of ICU soon too. He doesn't seem to like their potato soup though, LOL. He also wanted to thank everyone for the support.

I have not been on here in a long a time, but just happened to come on today and saw this post. Get well my friend. And as I work in the medical field, this is great news and a solid path to recovery. Our prayers are with you brother.

Cheers,
Wade

12-4 update. Herman is off all IVs and the catheter. He's also sitting in a chair as opposed to laying in bed. He was supposed to move to a regular room but the hospital is full, so in solitary he will stay for now. Not sure if the general population is ready for him anyway. However he's supposed to have a procedure done tomorrow A.M.to make sure the infection isn't sticking to his heart valves. Apparently this type of infection is known to do that. Not sure how often it happens though.

12-5 update. Herman's procedure went well and no infection was found on the valves. He has also been moved out of ICU and is in room 2208. He may be able to come home, if things continue as they have, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.....Depends on which doctor is talking.....LOL

12-6 update. Herman's appetite is returning and the docs still can't say what day he'll be released.

Herman is home!!! He was released today but still has to go back for some outpatient work. Talked to him tonight and he's in good spirits but very tired.
