The IBU should not need any modification. I think that's about the only board out there that really is plug-and-play. No rewiring or soldering required. Just swap the plugs from the stock MFU to the IBU and you're good to go.

Good. I just got the i6 and data cable in the mail! Looking forward to getting up tomorrow morning and hooking it all back up.

The i6 didn't come with any manual so I'll have to search for that.

And then figure out the programming. Will I be able to program a knob for volume control? Would be a nice touch

As far as I know you can't do volume control from the TX with the IBU 2 unless you have a Viper, which they don't make anymore.

Well I got bored so I hooked up the ibu and the i6.

I have some programming to do lol. For the steering and throttle it's reversed. Left is forward right is backward up is left turn and down is right turn.

Fire the Cannon is down and fire the mg is up.

The turret turning was the only thing right.

Also I couldn't get the engine to start, or smoke to work. And there was no sound. I assume because the engine wasn't started?

I've never had to program so many functions before on a controller. Max I've one is 3 for nitro .

Any help would be appreciated. I'll start Google Inc as 2ell

Well I'm back. Lots has happened. I'm in Ontario now...since Oct 2017....remarried....11 month old...etc etc...loving life...

I finally took my tank out of the bin I put it in 2 year ago. Want to get it finished. Just trying to figure out where I left off lol.

Anyone still around?

Well I got most of it together. Turned it on. Tank tracks do there thing but are opposite to what the controller should be. Controller issue. Turret turns correctly.

issues so far

Elevation servo...stock...continuelly rotates. Wiring i think
recoil not working
Mg sound works but no light.
Some other little things.

I just added the self centering stuff to the other stick on my flysky fsi6. So gonna work on programming the controller.

So basically back to where I was lol.

We are still around.

Sounds like you have some stuff to work out still on that tank. Keep at it, you will get it.

Thanks.

I got everything working correctly except for the MG light which may be the led is dead. I finished cleaning up the lower hull wiring.

The upper hall I still need to rewire and clean up. I got a busy day today so wont get to it today but I should have everything I want to do done for this weekend.

I've got some yellow led replacement for the front corner markers. I'm trying to figure out how I can make them flash. Got to find a resistor that will work i think?

Once I get everything working and running I will start working on a paint job 🙈

Update.

For anyone who doest want to read a lot a have an ibu2 pro board with flysky fs-i6 (soon to be i10)

Got everything working pretty much. Barrel recoil works, MG works, turret turns, barrel evelation works, engine turns on/off CH5, sounds work CH6, lights turn off and on (both front and rear), brake lights come on when stopping, and forward and reverse work.

Things not working:

Turning left and right and super spin.

Before this post all I had was super spin and left right lol.

I redid the jumper 8 reprogramming and got forward and reverse back but lots turning and SS. I cant remember if I turned SS off though.
Anyways I'll take a look at the SD card so check that out.

Anyone have an idea?

Was able to repair the cable and everything works perfectly! So 😊.

Need to fine tune some settings on the sd and tidy up wiring. Once I get it nice and neat and still working 100% I'll then take it all apart and start cleaning up the imperfections and paint.

Future plans are

360 ring and slip ring wire harness
Upgrade motors...already have metal gearing
Metal wheels and tracks...

I think upgrade to reds. Would also like to change the gearing to 5:1 but not a priority.

I am rearranging the electronics today. Had to shorten some wires and lengthen others. Which I just finished. I want to be able to get a little wet , snow etc without worry.

Don't go too low in your gearing. The Leopard is a fast tank. You want power and good low speed control, but you also want it to be able to rip around fast. The real ones can cruse at 45 mph.

I run my tanks in snow and mud. They do fine except when the tracks clog up with ice or mud. If it gets bad, it can stop the tank, and I have had ice and mud build up break track links and idler wheel mounts. I have never had an electronics issue with snow or mud.

I want lots of torque. I want to put a blade on the front and plow my drive way lol.

68kph / 16 = 4.25kph speed is what I'm shooting for for the tank to keep it scale

Hmmm might see how fast it is stock
