Nice work Joe. You planning on removing the stock C hooks and jack block and do your skills on it or leave them be?

Yes, I am planning to buy the wecohe c hooks kit as well as some of the other PE parts from them for this build. The jack block I am unsure of. I might make my own. I still need the convey light kit interior door kit, and a few other misc, parts. Side detail also up in the air at the moment. Either KT schumo parts or Aber PE parts for it.

Thank you Maus. I appreciate that,
Tonight a package arrived in the mail, the Meng cartoon Sherman and Tiger 1. I figured it would be fun to do these two snap together models and paint them up as a break from the work of the rc stuff. So as I sat here trying as best I could to see the small parts I began to assemble it. Lower hull no problem. Wheels, no problem. Machine gun a bit small but on. Lights...well, got out the bright light and magnifier, but on and done. Light covers...well.....one broke on me...I kept composed and went to the other one. That one broke as well..Always the perfectionist I think a moment on how to make this work and decide to step on it before throwing it in the trash. Mission accomplished. back to the 1/16 stuff it is.

LOL It was the Sherman. The Tiger went together without a hitch. I am going to paint it up and maybe try another Sherman then make a dio for them. Should be fun...If it makes it through the build this time around. LOL

So started messing with a steel plate to add to the rear of the Jagdtiger...thought it came out rather well for a piece of styrene.
I then finally got this thing in the paint booth and added a coat of Mig One Shot Dark yellow Primer. I will next paitn the red Oxide coat. So, once that dries good I will begin to add a soft edge camo and ambush style dots to it. And after I will weather it and get on with and ElMod Fusion. It is finally coming along.

It has been a while since I updated this post. In that time I have been rather busy with the repair shop, trying to make some new youtube videos for the same and working on the Jagdtiger and some customer tanks. Also getting married in a couple of months so a lot going on at once. However, it would not be fair to forget to share the finished paintwork. So here is my interpretation of Jagdtiger X2. I am in the process of installing the electronics in it and soon it will be up and running. Hope you guys like it.

Joe,

Awesomeness, enjoyed following your build.

Now you'll want to modify a robust Taigen IR RC Jagdtiger with an ELMOD Setup, so you have something to bash around with at Danville. 'Cause this JT is to nice run

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage.

John

Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it, and this build was a lot of fun and a whole lot if time. I am currently installing elmod into it and it will be posted for sale upon completion and testing. Then on to the JS build...or perhaps the Fury...depending on my current mood.
