Hello tankers,
I was able to acquire such a model and after more than 50 years of RC model making, I can only say "great"! Everything is true to scale and very detailed on the model and with a lot of love for detailed solutions. The only drawback is the suspension that is too weak. With a final weight of 7.5 kg, Christian Ludwig should have designed a torsion bar suspension instead of the too weak HL suspension. I therefore "retrofitted" my model with a torsion bar suspension using 1.5 mm spring steel wire in one week of work and I am very satisfied with the result
A built model is currently still on offer = https://www.ebay.de/itm/164793748649...oAAOSwCmhgZy2k (I`m not the seller !)
a bit expensive - but definitely unique. It's a shame that you can no longer order the early M-60 metal tracks from CHUNWAI.
Good luck
Guenther

The one for sale looks really good, but you're right, that price is unbelievable. Especially since it's not ready to run and you still have to install all your own Electronics, plus the TX/RX. But that seems to be the way of the hobby these days, buy something, mark it up 10 to 50 times and put it on eBay.

Well my M47 is built on the tamiya pershing.
My M60a3 from DKLM has too soft suspension with its torsion bars too. As the sprocket would turn to pull the track up and push it forward, the rear wheels would lift up rather than move the tank. I increased the rear wheel torsion bar diameter and that helped alot but still need to tinker with it. The tamiya abrams track stretched out and now the track just bunches up in front of the sprocket instead of pushing the tank forward. So I have a $2300 ish tank that I cant run now. I am going to try and make an adjustable ilder for it on the active idler to hopefully resolve this issue by getting the tracks really tight. These really nice kits can be a major pain to make run good so you have to be willing to be a bit of an engineer to rework some things.
