Pistol Port Plugs for 1/16 Late Tiger 1 and Sturmtiger
Recently, I was looking through the parts on Shapeways .com and found a 1/16th scale 38cm Rocket launcher assemble for the Sturmtiger (https://www.shapeways.com/product/F7KG76QAK/rw-61-assault-mortar-1-16?optionId=61624738). I wrote an inquiry to the Shapeway designer and asked him if he would consider making pistol port plugs; and, as it turned out, he was in the process of rendering those and other 1/16th Sturmtiger parts for an ongoing project. The designer is named Torsten of 5D Models, and he agreed to make the pistol port plugs next, and has. This pistol port plug is for the Sturmtiger; but, I believe it is also used on the Late Tiger 1 turret as well. Torsten has designed the plug to use a brass eye-bolt for strength (https://knupfer.info/shop/index.php/deutsch/augenschrauben-osen/augenschraube-ohne-bund/ad-114.html)I have yet to find a US supplier for the eye-bolt – maybe someone knows of one or similar?
