After updating the paint on my Tiger 1 and my leo, thought it was time for my M1A2, its going from desert camo to nato camo, Just finished the top half, just need to do the bottom half and clear coat it.

Looks damn good SGT. I love 3 color carc nato. I miss it alot now that we have gone to 686 as our standard.
One thing I always like is the oddball replaced parts are always either black like light buckets, mirror brackets and stuff, or are plain carc 383 green if new or sometimes 686 sand if salvaged or miss matched. Ive seen nato abrams with tan sand sheild parts and other accessories mix matched. Plan to do that to mine when I do one some day.

This is EXACTLY the camo for my Tamiya M1 when it becomes available. Very well done!

I got a little bored at home and I didnt like some of my tanks having the same paint scheme so I got an airbrush and started practicing on a POS tank that I have and then started with my tiger 1, then went to my leo and now my M1A2. next project will be this, A tamiya 1/14 King Hauler semi with a flatbed trailer. going to use as my support truck for all my armor replacement parts, going to have track sections, road wheels and other tank parts on the flat bed. Won't do the build log on here because its not a tank but maybe if members on here don't mind I will post a finally pic of the finished truck on here with the tank parts on the trailer. The truck should be in tomorrow.

Lot of us use Bruder trailers on our Tammy trucks. Lower CG (more of a lowboy) and you can convert the ramps to r/c. Can carry very precious cargo. You'll have to order a tamiya trailer king pin and dremel off the existing bruder king pin. Takes about 15 minutes to do the pin conversion.

Yea, thick plastic. Can handle a pretty good amount of weight. Any 1/16 tank won't be a problem.

My truck will maintain regular colors, going with a gloss yellow, will have a stretched frame, stock is 22in. Im going with a 26in. also will have tamiya's animal guard bumper on the front and a few little more accessories with it. Im going for the California stretched look. can you tell about what the length of that trailer is?

I see what you mean by powering the ramps.

One thing to watch with the animal bumper is it's mounted pretty low. If your going to do any off roading you may want to fab up a simple bracket to raise it so it doesn't dig in.

Another thing to seriously look at is a gear reduction unit. Most are 4:1 and can be found on ebay. Truck is way too fast out of the box. 3rd gear is useless, just too fast and no power.

Add-On Speed Reduction 4:1 Transmission Gear Box Tamiya 1/14 Semi Grand Hauler | eBay
