plastruct weld on Tamiya
I can't find any Tamiya liquid in town and have a Tamiya kit with some broken parts. Will the Plastruct liquid work and will it be strong enough?
Haven't done any plastic in decades.

Most of the tank is styrene plastic, therefore a good plastic glue is needed. Should be readily available from your local hobby shop and even some craft stores. Be advised the on some Tamiya tanks the wheels are from ABS plastic which requires a different glue. I don't remember if the Tiger 1 has ABS plastic in the wheels but the type of plastic is clearly labeled on every sprue.

Bob IS correct on some of the Tamiya parts being made of an ABS like material than styrene, but are pointed out very heavily in the instructions so the builder cannot miss it.
So any liquid plastic weld, liquid plastic cement, plastic welder will work... I use the Ambroid Pro Weld (which is hard to find) as it's for ABS, acrylic, butyrate and styrene. Tenax, Revell liquid cement Tamiya extra thin all work the same but some set up a little differently. The Plastruct is good but I found it has a higher odor content like Tamiya has but it just might be me. But certainly all should be handled in a room with very good ventilation or wearing a mask too.
Some of these are sold at Michaels and Hobby Lobby if you don't want to order from an on-line store or eBay. Usually there's a HobbyTown USA nearby?
