Thanks for the info Joe. I've been thinking about one of those gearboxes for my Abrams but wasn't sure if the Elmod would drive it. Now I know it will.

No problem man. Glad to be able to share something here. It's been too long.
By the way. You have the HL Abrams right? If so, have you had the chance to compare it to the Tamiya? I have heard that the details are very close.

Yeah, I've been "off the radar" for a while too. Life stuff.
I have the HL, but have not had a chance to compare the HL and Tamiya Abrams yet. It's next on my list. I plan to spring for the battle unit and the turret / barrel stabilization systems for it too.

I actually have two HL Abrams tanks, one stock, and one with the IBU3. I like the IBU, but if I upgrade the other one I may go for the Elmod in it just to try it out. Life is short, I should try every toy I can. I want to put the Leopard style gear boxes in one or both sometime down the road. Two HL's and a Tamiya Abrams tanks is not too many is it???

Never too many brother. I am looking at doing an HL with DKLM's lower hull in the near future. I am wondering about the gun depression on the HL version however. It seems pretty bad. I never leave the stock gun mechanisms in them so thinking the clark elevation unit would fix that issue I guess there is one way to find out though huh?

I have a custom gun elevation system made from Lego and styrene stock using a servo. It works pretty well.
