Default Removal of Mato All Metal Sherman Suspension Assemblies

Hi Guys, how do I remove the suspension assemblies off a Mato All Metal Sherman. Reason being, for repairs ( one assembly is loose, and the springs plus some other parts have fallen out, and for painting. Also removing the paint from the rubber rims on the bogie wheels.

Thanks!

Remove the 2 screws, and the clip. The bogey will come out. It may take some work to pop off if the Mato glue monkey got a hold of it.

No problem. I'v been meaning to tear one down to see what Mato did about the axels. They put bushings in now.

Be advised that if you have the Mato RTR version any dis-assembly at all will void the warranty and they'll give you a hard time if something breaks. Happened to Jackalope with his M-36. He found stripped screws held in with CA, and other troubles, and though Mato replaced some stuff for him, it wasn't free. Jack was told that even removing the tracks voids any warranty on the tank. On the other hand, if you have a non-RTR they ain't bad. I got the Panzer III before they started doing RTR and there were some defective hinges and what not and they were very good about sending free replacements. Hope that helps.

Wow that is very different from my sherman, there are no screws in the bogie mount of my metal mato sherman. It is a metal horse shoe like clip that is wedged and epoxied over each bogie sponson inside the hull.
they have apparantly changed them quite a bit since i bought mine.
