Default Asiatam Opel Blitz Control Board Question

I just got the new 3S batteries for my Blitz. I'm using the control board for this truck sold by asiatam, and they say it will handle 12 volts. Has anyone ever run this board on 12 volts? Any problems?

The board in question

Really? No one else has used this board? I guess I'll have to just go for it, eh?

Not sure on that one Gary, even if it does handle 12V bigger question may be if it'll handle the amp draw. Kinda heavy vehicle with not the smoothest gearbox. Any actual markings on it other than Asiatam to possibly look up specs from the maker? Guess the other question is why do you even need 3S? 8.4 should be plenty for a 1/16 scale truck.

Thanks, Bret, but I got it. 3S works fine, gives just enough extra top end. I'll have to time it, but I'm thinkin' I've got about a scale 30 mph top speed right now, still a bit slow but close enough for the girls we go out with. The new batteries should fit snugly between the frame rails with a 3D printed box, which is the next step.

If you want more top end could look into a larger pinion and window out a motor mount hole for the motor to pivot and allow for the larger distance between pinion and gear.
