A.C.E/AAF Battle weekend Danville, VA. Sept 14-16 2018
Get your tanks ready for another great weekend of IR tank battle at the AAF tank musuem in Danville, VA. Make sure and get your hotel rooms as well if needed. We'll be running Rolling Thunder scenarios with emphasis on teamwork and Platoon movements. If you've never been this is your chance to see the largest indoor r/c battlefield in the world, complete with forest's, villages, towns, castle, bridges, and a running river, just to name a couple aspects of the battlefield. If you don't have a running tank still come and check it out, it's not uncommon for participants with extra tanks to let people check out the action. We will be running a quick inspection to make sure every tank is on a level playing field. This is a stock apple configuration event. TFA only allowed on fixed structured tanks. No IFA is allowed on any tank.
We'll be checking:
Tank gives and takes hits.
Dies according to class.
Emitter depth and diameter of tube.
Speed (up to +2 on road speed.)
No apple obstructions
Apple configuration.
Flash or recoil to visualize the tank firing.
Here's the schedule and the link to the museum and hotel most stay at. If you have any questions feel free to post up or PM me. Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting some new ones!

I hope this hurricane that is coming to North Carolina doesn't mess up my plans for a great weekend! Hopefully there won't be any serious flooding and roads washed out. keeping my fingers crossed!

It's not looking good for this weekend. The museum has put out a statement.
Hello battlefield participants and spectators With the upcoming hurricane I want to keep you up to date. We are expected to get 15+ inches of rain as of right now. Our area will be devastated if that does happen. The museum will most Likely have issues from the heavy rains with indoor flooding and leaks and possible power outage. By Thursday the 13th in the morning we need to make a decision and maybe cancel the rc battle event, but not until then. The museum will be open still Friday and sat normal hours as long as we have power and no major flooding. I urge all travelers to seriously consider your options and safety. All we can do right now is prepare and hope that the storm weakens or turns north. Thank you Douglas Gasser
