Default Rear deck vent plus idler wheel wheels

In your second photo you have the engine deck vent which has the attachment bolt out of bottom attachs the deck to the hull.Is this a cast piece and if so where did you buy it and also are your idler wheels Taigen brand they list for a g but they also say panther A early[600] idler wheel.I have looked at the Heng Long version and seems like yours must be Taigen as they attach by a axle shaft.Thank you for your help

here are the final pics of the finished Panther, it was a fun project and i like the final results. I would say this, be careful using the disc camo stencils, in some of the photos you can see where some of the adhesive stayed on the tank and was a bit of work to remove, but it did come off.

Will, I have a concept of the work you did for the cammo job. Great work and looks excellent! How difficult is the disc kit to work with, and how good are the instructions? I might try that on one of my Panthers, it's due for an overhaul top to bottom.

A fantastic looking machine. The disc camo is very well executed and some excellent details added too.

The stencils for the disc camo are pretty nice, just be mindful of the adhesive is pretty tacky and might leave some residue behind when you peel it off. there aren't any instructions to speak off, just lay on the tank and spray. there are some individual circles you can use also to get in those hard to reach areas.

From a distance it is hard to see the discs in the camo, very effective i think.

I was offered a nice deal for this Panther and decided to let her go, but you will still her at Danville, since Doug bought her. She is sitting on his workbench there! But I am not going to worry too much as I have another Panther kit to build!

i'm sorry if i didnt answer this, the engine vent that holds the hull to the lower hull is stock, i just added some brass wire to make the "screen" and give the tank some more detail, the idler wheels are from Asiatam, they are for the D,A, and early G. You can find the idler at their site, they are not expensive and fit perfectly.
I hope this helps.

Default My new Panther

Since i sold the panther that was featured in this thread, i thought i would update it with pics of its replacement. This is basically the same build except its a late AUG / early SEP 1944 tanks and I added the ATAK zimmerit kit to it and a more typical camo scheme. I hope you like the pics!

Both panthers were painted with Tamiya acrylics.
