The Fletcher class destoryer reminds me of oy lindberg Blue Devil Destroyer feom my teenage years, which i still have.
I was in a 1/96 scale warship club so im not too impressed by ship models when ive seen master model quality 9ft long Iowa class battle ships. My USS Indiana is 7ft long, but alas, i gutted it for new shafts and struts and then started restoring an army jeep and never got back to it.
As far as RtR ships go those are ncie looking models.
I would like to see more of the large scale boats. I wanted to do a 5ft Elco PT bost but mosquito boat hobbies in Los Angels closed up.

That's the 1/72 version they made for Hobbico / Aquacraft after Graupner passed on it 7 years ago. I saw the prototype at SIME 2011. As you can see, their packaging has improved somewhat. ;-)

Any idea what became of Frank's molds after he closed up shop? Besides his famous PTB series, he had at least 5 large scale liner hulls that not many knew about.

Herrmill, so they will offer the Bismark and Yamato as kits instead of the ready to run r/c models?

They currently offer Yamato in both ARTR & kit; Bismarck must be new since I've not seen it offered for sale, could be just prototype sample they typically do to gauge interest from their big customers. If I hear anything, I'll pass it along. Again you can follow their work & ask them directly on Facebook on their iHobbymall page: https://www.facebook.com/Ihobbymall-1428634983849202/

Thanks for confirming herrmill. I will check their facebook page out again and ask some questions. I have a Otaki 1/200 Yamato I would like to R/C so maybe they will sell the running gear I need, I hope!!! :-)

Default KY 1/200 Yamato Parts

Yes, they do sell parts including barrels for their 1/200 Yamato kit on their Taobao store for China market: https://haifengcn.taobao.com

I see the new Bismarck is now offered as well. Best to open the link using Chrome with auto translation but I'd contact them on FB for overseas orders.
