Default Armortek 1/6 Vehicle Weights

For years I've been 'guesstimating' on how much these 1/6 metal Armortek vehicles weighed. MY estimates was just from shipping documents and 'figuring'.

Well, there's a set of livestock scale over in my parent's barn behind the baler and under a lot of stuff that's not being used since my brother sold (for now) ALL his 'Moo Cows' (THANK GOODNESS!!! Cause I was tired of CHASING'EM if they got out!).

My wife wanted to weigh her little horseys and I wanted to weigh my tanks and those scale would do the trick! We moved stuff, loaded the scale up (thank goodness for forks on the tractor cause this thing AIN'T LIGHT!) and hauled'em over here. We hosed out all the dust, mouse carcasses, spider webs, then my wife painted it.

We checked the scale for accuracy with known weights and it still works fine! So she weighed her little equine freeloaders (and I LOVE'EM TOO!) then I drove these vehicles out one at a time and checked'em. Here's what they weigh WITH BATTERIES.

The Tiger 1 is 335 pounds. The Panther is 280. Sherman is 210. Panzer IV is 175. Sd Kfz halftrack is 165. And the Sd Kfz 222 scout car is 78. These are a couple pounds cause the scale goes up to 3000 pounds so how close can ya git with light stuff...

This is FYI so if you purchase one of these models it can help you figure in on the ballpark shipping estimate (less batteries, add pallet/box/padding weight, etc.)

Shucks, Gramps, last time I was home I saw one in Walmart that would make that scale bend and go in to reset mode. However, them be some hefty tanks you've got!

Yeah Bob, it was something I wanted to find out. I originally figured the T1 weighed around 375-400 and I was WAY off on that. My estimate of the P4 was right on and the others I was within ten pounds either way... but the weights are good to know!
