From this catalog it's all about the Schwimmwagen!! For me, anyway, but I doubt we'll ever see it. It's probably another one of those communist conspiracies just to get my hopes up.

Regarding the schwimmwagen, I have read in german forums that it is made by Andrew (Metal origin)
Also that, at least the prototype is not able to swim. (sinks even with no crew and no electronics)
Price? 500-600 euros.
Thanks, but no, thanks.

Too small for me in that scale. I'll wait until someone comes around with a 1/10 version & at a more affordable price.

Good to see you back. Not sure a BMP1 has ever been categorized as softskin before, but if you like them, see this - https://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/foru...?f=202&t=26343 -

In the states it will be 158 euros, but an extra 75 euros for shipping, which they say is fedex with two to three day delivery. I sent them an email and as soon as they respond I'll pre-order.
Martin, I'm not even gonna try to pretend I won't be buying one, like you said, they should just take my money already!!

Yeah I see Torro lists it as " Swimable ". I was thinking fording the occasional small rain puddle might be in scope...
I have a nicely made brass Schwimmwagen or most of one I bought on ebay Europe a goodly number of years ago.
It's about 1/10 scale (what else right?) and hefty. There are some holes in the body intended for controls but with a little work
I believe it could wade through still shallow waters; I wouldn't send it out into a lake surely.... It's rather nicely done; whoever formed the
body parts knew what they were doing as they look machine pressed quality. Don't know if it was a limited run kit or one off. Zero markings
on it. I purchased it and a Kubel of the same scale from the same chap at that time. Could be as long as 15 years ago.
I like these small vehicles, we need more thing like this in all scales. Al tanks becomes boring even for me.

It's very much swimmable but would think best in a shallow millpond. I'm look forward to getting one but do wish it were larger, 1/10 would be ideal.

Metal Origin isn’t the supplier & given the source, I’d be surprised if they’ve not built-in some form of flotation to keep it from sinking.
