Heng Long looks for like a T-72B, lower hull and running gear is probably the same as their T-90.
Details on Walterson's look better, and dispite the driving style in the video linked a above, suspension is smooth running, the extra weight probably helps. I know were my money is going.

Definitely two different tanks completely. Nothing shared at all. The Waltersons is aiming for around that price range too so it shouldn't be a question which to choose

Yea I mentioned that too I was actually trying to be there for that show but got caught up in some stuff here this year or that would of been me driving. We are going to add a bit more expo to the controls and possibly even different driving modes (think like TG style, Tamiya style, or even one track on each stick kinda thing) like the 24ths had. Still some minor tweaks to be made there.

Good choice! Also those were the fastest gears I'm pretty sure, I'll get some of the different gears and go over those too.

All of my tanks are set up for well under 'road speed'. Reality is most action is off road where the max, going over well reconned land, is 20 KPH or less and usually a lot less. They all have Turnigy chips in them for some inertia and all are single stick motion control. When we teach the youngsters at 35th Battery Museum how to drive, the first thing they learn is how to use the controls gently with the tank up on blocks first. Only after they master that foible are they allowed to take n tank out on the playing field for their more advanced driving courses. They are also taught how to fix whatever may go wrong or break before they even have a radio in their hands. Works for us.

Question. Does the Walterson tank have a plastic hull? Looks like it.

Yes, plastic lower hull. Around 2.5mm thick or so. Also has a torsion bar suspension and metal idler adjuster too.

Got a photo of the innards? I'm curious to see how they did the suspension arms with torsion bars. Is there a metal mount and/or bushing for the arms?

I wonder if HL copied the Trumpeter 1/16 static T-72B upper and slapped it on the T-90 lower? I don't have any of the static T-72B models from Trumpeter for comparison.

Only because we have the finest Massandrah and Inkerman you can't buy. All the more for us and at this moment I'm enjoying the second glass of Massandrah Muskat Rozeveih with VCO. Nectar of the gods.

Wish I could, them monks on the south coast brew some truly fine wine. Ain't summer here yet, either. Weird 'spring', much more chilly than usual.

I read 'stimulating' instead of 'simulating' I guess in the instruction sheets

While HL has been improving, this model is a real game-changer...already sold my T-90 to make room for this bad boy...

For those of you that use Facebook Waltersons posed a bunch of pictures and videos on their page. Looks like the tank is ready and they claim it will be available for purchase in August.

Not a FB user.
Thanks for the update.
Would it be possible to post some pics here for those who can’t see them on FB ?
