Thanks Gary,
Saw the 6.1 MFU and Tx on e-bay for $80.00 with shipping, going to wait then till the Leo comes with it because your going to get that recoil barrel with smoke and IR as well.

Tk-6.0
I've seen on a YT Channel that TK-60 has version 201809, 201811 and 201905 and the 905 runs slower and more realistic then the former versions.
What one do you have?

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe that when you turn on the tank and then turn on the transmitter the TX binds itself every time, kind of like the little WPL trucks do.

Thanks for sharing Gary.Looks Like HL is making some good upgrades including the price!!!

Could you try another radio (HL or Futaba for instance), see if it binds or if its specific to the radio purchased with the set?

I already know the Futaba, or any other hobby grade transmitter, will not bind to this board, but I haven't tried the other HL TX. I'm told that the 5.3 TX is not compatible with the 6.0 Electronics but I have not personally tested that. Fssttanks did a review of the IR battle system and he may have tried that so you might want to check his thread or possibly ask that question in that thread.

I’ve seen that rc tanks Australia has the mako tk6.0 available to make it fully compatible with tamiya. Hopefully they will make a new board that will accept an after market radio. Problem is once you add in all those extra boards you
might as well just go with a Clark or ibu

Received my order of HL 6.0s Transmitter and Board from China and of course without instructions. Found bits and pieces in the Internet like the Pin-Out of the board and rewired Battery Input and Switch, Track Motors and Headlights just to start the project. I could not find anything on Binding Trans and board. Got lucky from a Dealer that I ordered some hard to get HL items and they sent me a copy of page 9 of instruction on Binding. Works Perfectly.

If I understand this correctly. HL 6.0 and above, has come with some great upgrades, but does not allow the use of a different radio TX?
Taigen V3 electronics has less functions, allows sound change with seperate sound cards and allows the use of ones own radio TX?
Does this seem odd to anyone else? To me these seem way to close to just build one solid board that has both features..
Why would HL not adapt their new board to accept sound cards and different TX like Taigen?
Is Taigen going to unvail a new board with both the V3 features and the 6.1 HL features?
Its just too bad these tank companies cant produce a solid across the board IR battle system.
Enjoy,
Shad

Yes, Shad, you understand correctly. You cannot use your own TX with the HL 6.0 but you can use your own TX with the TG v3. I don't think TG will add the features that HL has because they try to keep all of their stuff compatible with everything that's come before. I know it doesn't work that way with the V1 and V2 TX, but they do their best. As for HL giving you the option to use your own TX, I wouldn't look for that anytime soon. But I do understand that they're coming out with a new controller for the 6.1. Let's just hope it has a more hobby grade feel to it.

What HL needs to do is to make their boards compatible with hobby grade radios. No matter what they release, it has no interest for me (and many more) until we can use our true hobby grade radios. The most desperating thing is it seems HL is using flysky chips but with the protocol coded. So if somebody manages to crack it, we could be using our radios straight with the HL boards without adding any extra receivers. That would be awesome.
The newers 6.X boards combined with benedini mini/micro and hobby grade radio could be something amazing.
