I have seen those on Ebay, very similar if not the unbranded version. Search for "6V gear motor"

I remember getting some Modelcraft tracks (for my Maus) from them several years ago, as I remember the website will not let you order to US

But I made a personal call and got the order with no problems. They do enforce customs, so be prepared.

I would check ServoCity. It is one of my favorite places to shop for stuff like that. Tons of info and lots of RPM choices.

Anyone know where to get this exact motor in the US?

Not sure of the exact size of the one you were looking for but look up gear head motor or gear motor and you'll
find many variations.

Just a quick search came up with theses among 384 hits...

Micro DC Gear Motor, Gm12,Tang Shaft , Lot Of Ten, All Metal Gearbox

Thanks. None of the 3 motors offered in that link seem to be a good match based on RPM and stall torque and stall current.

The Conrad motor is 113 RPM (50:1 reduction ratio), Stall Torque 57 kgf.cm. Stall Current 19.8 A

The closest match in the above link is 80 RPM, which as a Stall Torque of 3 kgf.cm. Stall Current 650 mA, which is not even close.

Maybe this one is possible:
https://www.premium-modellbau.de/pla...-getriebemotor

the one from conrad gear is 124rpm/6V and the one above ist 270rpm/12V or 135rpm/6V
I had the same problem; strong gears were too slow so I mixed a high ratio gear with a fast motor to get my goal...

The point was a clever search in the result set of ~384 items might have netted something of use...not necessarily those particular units..
Perhaps a friend in Europe could purchase the Conrad units for you and you could reimburse them.....

I got the point. My point is I've asked for help locating a red Ford Mustang convertible with a 5.0 liter engine and half the posts are, "Hey go check out Carmax I heard they sell cars."

So I got me one of those pretty sweet 2020 2.4L turbo Mustangs while my Fusion is in the shop and WOW is that thing pretty quick. 310hp/350tq and getting 25mpg is pretty nice. Goofy 10 speed paddle shifter though, kinda kills it. Anyways, I found 2 that might work for you:
https://www.servocity.com/165-rpm-hd...ary-gear-motor = 49kg/165rpm/51:1/20A stall
https://www.servocity.com/124-rpm-econ-gear-motor 30kg/124rpm/78:1/3.8A stall
I couldn't find the part in the normal US places, does it have to be that exact motor or you can you use two different ones?

It's unfortunate Conrad stopped selling to the US for I believe they once did, perhaps not. I had their catalog years ago. I don't recall if I got it while I was in Germany in the 90s or if they sent it to me. I remember walking into a Conrad store while there either in Essen or Dusseldorf. I remember buying some rubber model truck tires; you know how it is in a shop like that: you either want one of everything or nothing out of sheer frustration not knowing what 'you need'. Of course you instantly remember the moment you get home although in my case it was later getting off the plane at SFO... They used to sell a Panther-like 1/10 poly track for a snow plow that some guys used to modify to serve on 1/10 scale Panthers.

Call Conrad, they should manually fill an order for you.

I test-drove one of those - that's the twin-turbo model, right? Yeah when those turbos kick in you'd never know it was a 2.4L engine!I heard back from Servo City:

From me:

Subject: Looking for a geared motor

Hello,

I am trying to find a geared motor similar to this one:

https://www.conrad.com/p/high-perfor...-v-modelcraft-rb350050-22h22r-501-233130

Unfortunately Conrad does not ship to the United States.

I have been looking at your motors and I believe this one has similar specs:

https://www.servocity.com/118-rpm-hd...ary-gear-motor

Can you confirm?

Do you have anything else you might recommend?
---------------------------

Response:
Steve, Those look like they'd work as well! They seem to be much higher powered than the motors you were looking at otherwise, Not at all an issue. Here's another option for you to consider https://www.servocity.com/101-rpm-gear-motor Thank you, ServoCity Tech (620) 221-0123

---------------------------

I don't think the 101 RPM motor they suggest to consider will do. Stall torque of 3.28 kgf compared to 57 kgf for the Conrad motor and 69 for the118 RPM premium motor.

I think this one is going to be my best bet:
https://www.servocity.com/118-rpm-hd...ary-gear-motor

Steve

Nah it was the single turbo 2.4L Ecoboost 2020 motor, not bad really, just that stupid 10 speed paddle shifter kills it. The dealership doesn't give out manuals for loaners I was getting my Fusion worked on so I got that to drive for about a week, glad to have my Fusion back though, I drive WAY too fast with the Mustang...

But yea definitely check out Servocity, I've been using them for years for stuff and the service is great as well as the shipping rates/times. The motors are good quality and the pan/tilt mechanisms are great for robotics platforms or trackers. Lots of mounts and standardized sizes there, makes it easy to build around when you have all the dimensions before you even get it.

Actually, as I remember Conrad does ship to USA, I just had to arrange ship by DHL to US (and pay customs!)

I had contacted Conrad via email and they said they would not ship to USA.

I ended up ordering a pair of these:

https://www.servocity.com/118-rpm-hd...ary-gear-motor

We will see how they do driving a Heng Long Jagdpanther.

I feel his pain there, international shipping is a big risk these days with fraud and such. Hopefully the USPS doesn't pull out of the UPU, that will make things even worse
