Default Impact or Kenny Kong

Does anyone have the facebook contact for Impact, and/or a contact for Kenny Kong? Got a tanker who needs good metal tracks for a Tammy Panther.

https://www.facebook.com/impact.upgrades Didn't see any Panther tracks on Kenny's site, but there is Impact's FB page.

OK, and thanks! I'll relay the facebook page info. I've heard constant rumors that Kenny is making at least some Impact tracks but I have not heard for certain. At any rate, Impact does make the best and if they list Panther/JP tracks, our tanker will be in high cotton.

Imex now has the winter Panther tracks. I picked up a set for my JP and they're pretty good. I guess it depends on how much they want for the impact tracks.

Will the Imex fit the Tamiya Panther? Often the pitch for other model's sprockets is different.

I'm not sure, but I believe you have to use the taigen sprockets. I believe that they can be modified to fit the Tammy gear box.

Typically Tammy gearbox shafts are the double flat type while the Taigen ones are the single flat "D" shape shaft.

IMPACT has been shipping existing inventory from their Ningbo source so no idea if KK ever made any tracks for them. Best get them while you can since they're pretty clear that no further production is planned & once they sell out, it's gone.

Tip: Message Impact Upgrades on Facebook for parts availability and price. Get the Impact drive sprockets to go with their tracks if you still can? Impact tracks will run with the Tamiya drive sprockets, though.

John

Both models use Impact tracks and sprockets.

Wasn't Impact the one that made the 1/16 suspension spring replacement a few years ago? Does anyone make something similar now? Tamiya's torsion bar suspension is strong but not flexible enough for my realistic taste. Thanks if anyone knows!

That was the Corlieus Suspension pioneered by Wecohe, Impact 'copied' it. What tank do you want it for, KT or Tiger 1? I've got Wecohe for both in my stash.

Any photos around of this Corlieus Suspension? Like to see what it looks like...

The system is a bear to adjust, but once adjusted it's pretty nifty. I always put a stock torsion bar in the first and last road wheel on each side, mainly because of the use these tanks get in this rock garden. The springs on the Wecohe set are somewhat better than on the Impact set.
